| - In my opinion, this isn't the place to bring your out-of-warranty BMW in for service. Maybe they treat their warranty service customers differently, but I was displeased with the level of service that I received.
I will start with the positive and say that the best part of my experience was interacting with the pleasant gentleman that coordinates their service valet. Aside from him, everyone else seemed downcast and disinterested.
I have visited many different BMW dealerships routinely enough to know what to expect. I hold all BMW dealerships to a standard of excellence, as their brand suggests.
For starters, the service quotes here were simply egregious. I felt that the quotes were arbitrary and were not commensurate with the actual repair costs.
Secondly, it's quite disturbing to pick up your car from BMW dirtier than you had brought it in (especially when the advisor tells you that it was washed -- and it wasn't). Also, they didn't use any floor mat covers, which left me with the good ole dirty boot prints on my mats.
So what's the big deal? To me, their lackadaisical standard of care demonstrates their disinterest in customer service. At the very least, wash your customers' cars before you return them.
I will not be back, nor will I recommend them to any of my colleagues until I hear otherwise. At that point, I might revisit the dealership and give them a second chance.
