  • Terrible properties and terrible property management. Can't believe these people are allowed to continue building and renting this sub-standard properties. Do not rent from FMI. In response to FMI's response to my post: The plowing schedule is only the beginning. Here is a fun list of the bs we have had to deal with over the past 4 years. --When we first moved in to the revere there were sheet metal shavings all throughout the carpeting, one of which ended up in my foot. --When we changed apartments, here are some things we had to clean because FMI didn't care enough to. ------Cupboards and drawers in kitchen had dog food in them from the previous tenant ------All walls and blinds needed to be scrubbed and sanitized due to the previous tenant smoking in the unit ----------This took several hours and was completely disgusting. The entire apartment smelled disgusting and was unlivable until we scrubbed everything with vinegar. ------Toilet seats weren't changed in between tenants (which is even more disgusting than the smoke covered walls) --Tenants leave trash and personal effects out in the shared basement/parking structure despite clauses in the lease that prohibit such behavior --The best one is when the arrestor valve on the washing machine broke off (because FMI uses cheap parts when building their properties) and flooded our apartment and both units below ours. --But speaking of snow removal...I believe there were also quite a few complaints when the workers were using LEAF BLOWERS TO REMOVE SNOW FROM SIDEWALKS AT 2 AM. In clear violation of Sun Prairie noise ordinances and which they have since been barred from doing in the future.
