  • This place is a dive bar. A neighborhood dive bar. That's what you're getting. The outside is concrete block and quite honestly, your probably not sure you'll want to go in. Parking is limited, the street is narrow and it's off the beaten path. What you are getting is cold cheap beer, local yokel atmosphere and some damn good bar food. This is a family owned establishment from the owner, bartender and cook. You get that Pittsburgh grit and grace in the service which is perfect for the dive bar. This is some of the best pizza in the area. In house is obviously best, but I very often pick up one for take out. Sweet sauce, ample toppings and the crust is perfect. Homemade chips and the hot cashews are definitely the favorite for appetizer/sides. I'm also going on record that I think this is one of the best fish sandwiches in the area. I know...a risk in a neighborhood of church fish fry and local bar battles, but it's damn good. Understated atmosphere with hometown feel, cold beer and a good Fish Sammy makes Pido's a perfect happy hour stop.
