Vegas is my idea of hell. I loath and despise almost everything about it. I hate the phoniness of it. I hate being choked by cigarette fumes. I hate being smothered by perfumes (usually attempting to mute the cigarettes and stale tobacco stench clinging to the walls). I don't gamble or drink. I like being able to get where I'm going efficiently. I hate being assaulted by what I believe is called "Club music"--anything where the base is set so high that it causes hearing damage.
That said, I was outvoted by the group. And so we went to see a show. And picked out this one.
The sad part is that there is a distinct possibility that the performers might have been really talented. Unfortunately the music was just too damn loud to hear. Seriously, it was like having my ears boxed by someone holding cinder blocks. It was 3 hours before I could hear properly again. Music might have sounded great at 1/2 volume, or from 3 rooms away, or in a venue about 5 times larger.
That said, unless you want severe hearing loss, or already have it, bring ear plugs.
