| - While many have complained about the service here, we had a great experience. Punctual drink top ups, appropriate plate clearing, no rush billing, and best of all the server alerted me to just in time the fact that my car was about to get ticketed by the CPS.
We went for happy hour, when several pizzas are only $5 (only slightly downgraded versions of the normally $15+ pies). Quasi-neopolitan style, there were a half dozen choices. While all where good, the mushroom pizza with white sauce was a real standout. I'd say one pizza per person is more than sufficient. Wine is also $5 a glass, and beer $4. A great deal all around. We also grabbed a Nutella style calzone for dessert. That was just alright...somehow it needed to be either more moist, or more chocolatey to compel me to order it again. The quality of the pizza and the good service mean I'm sure we'll be back to try their other wares.
The raw structure and cool decor has lots of brick and reclaimed wood, which makes for a fairly reverberating acoustic environment. This makes for a pretty lively ambience. For a table of four, it's cool, but I could see it being a bit of a communication headache for larger tables. The solution would be to sit on the lovely patio during the summer months.
