| - You walk in feeling hopeful... you leave disappointed. Pan is truly just meh.
We went on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was empty but we chalked it up to the cold weather.
We ordered the dumplings, lightly fried shrimp maki, drunken noodles and cheeks.
Dumplings were OK, but a fine enough start. The lightly fried shrimp maki was averagely tasty, but I've had way better sushi at Sake's half off night in Southside Works. The drunken noodles came with scallops. The dish felt like it was full of salt, pepper, soy sauce and that is about it. The noodles were also over crowded by vegetables. I love me some veg, but the bok choy and immense amount of peppers overwhelmed the dish, I was basically searching for the noodles (which are wide mind you). The cheeks is I presume supposed to be a take on pad thai with shredded pork. It's hard to explain what was missing, but something just was. After all of that food, we left with much to be desired... like need to grab a taco on the way home. There are so many better asian restaurants in Pittsburgh, go elsewhere.
On a positive note, the service was good and I was loving the mo-town music station!
