I saw the doctor and he re commended I replace several of my silver amalgam fillings with composite. Sources don't recommend you do this because it risks mercury exposure and damage to the tooth. None of this I was warned about and I didn't know this at the time. After the filling I realized the tooth didn't feel right. He drilled out the filling and didn't fill the hole. (Note: The doctor rebutted this fact below, but I can assure you of the accuracy of this claim). I had to return for the filling. It took several addition trips to fix the bite. Ultimately the tooth was destroyed and needs a crown. It is discolored and appears like some of the silver wasn't removed. The tooth evidently developed micro cracks because it is sensitive. I believe it was poor judgement to push cosmetic dentistry on someone without discussing the risks. Now I am the one who has to pay for a tooth repair and deal with the pain and hassle.
Update: I updated the stars from 1 to 2 because he did try to remedy the situation and one star isn't fair to his practice. My wife also had two fillings redone from his practice. I delayed on the review because I wasn't using Yelp that far back. Though nothing in the rebuttal mentions HIPPA protected info, the fact a doctor is directly commenting on your personal info on a open forum is concerning.
