rev:text	Been here a dozen times. We first started coming because my wife studied French in college and we've been fortunate enough to travel to France numerous times so Cafe Monte seemed like a great place to visit (and it is close). Tonight was the first time with a groupon. We tried to use it last week. When we arrived on a Tuesday we were told no additional discounts with their wine special only to find out groupon is considered a discount when the check arrived; even though our food far out priced the groupon. Tonight we arrived at 7, all "specials" were gone. Ok, but this is the 3rd time this has happened in recent visits (2018). Yes, the specials are that good (especially the coq au vin) and it sucks that you need to be a "seasoned" guest who arrives at 5 to enjoy the specials. So we order off the menu. My wife gets the steak. Again for the third out of four recent times the steak came cooked not to order (she wanted medium, not well). This seems to be a trend as the time I tried their beef wellington I was underwhelmed that the pastry part was dry and filet was medium well (no good for BW). My wife is GF and Cafe Monte offers GF bread as an option. We asked 3 times this evening and still nothing. I feel that the last 6 months the service and now the food have both gone from a 5/5 to a 3/5. Again, this is review is off of a dozen visits in the last 2 years, not just one. I really hate writing reviews that aren'5 5/5, but I feel that after 12 visits and multiples visits in 2018, this is needed.
