We have shopped here for the last time.
We were actually shoppers at this JCPenney for more than 30 years (before the remodels at Chris Town Mall) and through thick and thin. When they opened and then remodeled this store, we had high hopes. We even waited through the new (horrible) management at corporate, when the store was all black and depressing. But yesterday was the worst. And the only person to blame is the store manager, who needs to walk the floor and get it cleaned up.
My first impression yesterday was: This place is a pig pen.
After that, and I only walked in about 10 feet, I saw clothing on the floor and scarves that were scattered all over. I know JCPenney isn't paying for help, but gee, if you want customers to shop, then you have to make the place neat. Where is the manager? He should be cleaning up the store himself.
It's not the location. It's management.
There are other JCPenney stores that aren't in this horrible condition. Visit Arrowhead Mall, for example, where the store is clean. Or skip JCPenney all together. They don't deserve your hard-earned dollars if they're going to look like this.
