| - Ok, like many others here, my friend and I bought coupons from Groupon in April.
We could only schedule appointment on Fridays, so when we explained this to the receptionist, she offered us the only Friday late afternoon she had available which was in late November.
Keep in mind, our coupons were supposed to expire in October. The lady reassured me, that they would still be valid for the full promotional price. I'd put the date in my calendar and relaxed.
On the said date, my friend and I showed up at the "salon", which is just a room in a tall office building... We knocked at the door... and nobody responded. We tried calling them, there was no answer. The salon was closed! And we took time off work to leave a little earlier to make it on time anticipating a nice relaxed finish to our day.
We called Groupon right away to explain situation and to get a refund. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks of exchanging emails with them, they said that they will not refund us money as we were supposed to reach out to them before our coupons expired. The salon called us back though... came up with some silly explanation that their staff was on a medical leave (is there just 1 staff member?) and they left a voicemail message but we supposedly didn't call them back. No voicemail from them was ever received by us. They offered us a new date... tadadam... In February next year!!! This is just ridiculous at this point. We waved goodbye to our money and obviously do not intend to reschedule our appointment almost a year after our original purchase...
Very-very frustrated with Groupon - they deal with scammers.
