A review from vacation.
The day after the United States election, my friend and I stopped by for massages at this location. My friend happens to be a massage therapist also, so I'm well familiar with techniques that I prefer.
The staff The Institute were clearly upset with the election results, as was openly mentioned multiple times during my massage. My friends massage therapist arrived late and in tears.
This was definitely not my worst massage experience, but it wasn't one of the best either. Since this is a teaching school, the lighting is kept brighter in the rooms then I would normally prefer, the woman who gave my massage was supposed to be one of the instructors but I really didn't feel like she was very thorough.
The school itself was beautiful, with some fantastic heart-related photographs on the walls, and nature inspired decorations. There were listings for different classes available on one of the walls, and I wish I had more time in Arizona so I could have tried one of these.
The next time I'm in town, I'm willing to try it again. Perhaps after a less traumatic night!
