  • Krispy Kreme used to be everywhere in the GTA a few years ago but now I think there's only 2 places left. This was one of the first store (if not the first store) to break into the GTA and had high hopes of taking market share from Timmys. With it's super fluffy, sugary, and highly addicting fresh donuts, I'm surprised it has shriveled to this. The key of coming here is the BIG neon sign on the side of the building... if it's lit, that means FRESH deep fried donuts are being made. Unlike the Tim Horten's donuts, these donuts are considerably fluffier and softer. The sugary coating is also tastier... I suspect there's more 'fat' in the KK ones to give it that delicious creamy coating. Like most people, I prefer the original plain ones to the chocolates. The chocolates ones are ok but they don't have a true chocolate flavour and they coating taste more like the hershey kisses wax chocolate. Even if the store is not making donuts, the donuts are still pretty tasty and not dried out. The coffee here though... omg, DO...NOT... DRINK. It's so watery and possibly too acidic. Grab these donuts and head across the street to Second Cup to get a real cup of coffee. Service is quick and there's NEVER a line up anymore. Not like when they first opened and there was 80 people in line for 2 hours!
