Baseball, booze, and a bar...
Halo Bar was right where we needed it to be at the right time. Perfectly hidden in the middle of a mall and snuggled between casinos -- there stood the Halo bar for us to grab a drink and watch a very important NLDS SF Giants baseball game in the 8th inning.
4 TVs, which cover their entire bar, left us able to watch the game comfortably. I will say, I would have preferred a seat with higher back, but only because we ended up sitting there into the 12th inning of the damn game.
The bartender was super laid back and very attentive, since it wasn't that crowded. He didn't mind that we weren't drinking a ton, more there to watch the game. He even charged my phone for me while we sat there, that was above and beyond.
I don't know anything about pricing drinks in Vegas, but I'm sure these drinks were cheaper than buying them in a casino. For a top shelf vodka and soda mix it was $12, for a Bud Light it was $5. Seems steep, but not really for Vegas pricing. I didn't mind, since we had a huge TV and plenty of space to watch the game.
Probably not everyone's ideal Vegas experience, but I enjoyed my (long) time spent sitting there watching baseball and having a couple adult libations!
Perfectly hidden for the right person and situation!
