| - Don't trust the 3 star reviews on travel sites (Hotwire, TripAdvisor, etc.) this is a NO star hotel.
I have a high tolerance for crappy places being a budget traveler (have stayed at Arizona Charlie's, America's Best Value Inn, Silver Sevens, etc. - a who's who of low-end hotels in Vegas) since all I need is a clean bed and clean shower. It's pretty hard to do worst than my already low standards, but this place succeeded!
Stayed here 3 times, each time it was unpleasant to horrible. This is an older apartment-style complex that was 'refurbished' (term used lightly) into a motel. Kitchen counter where stove/sink would be boarded over so 'kitchen' is just an empty area. Resort fee? This is a resort?
First time: Room has an odd smell. Carpet feels dirty (keep your shoes on). Room on third floor via dilapidated elevator (torn carpeting, misc broken buttons). Lots of unsavory characters loitering outside. Hotel next to seedy apartment with tenants hanging on balconies eyeing hotel guests. Hot room and AC that barely kept up with the 90+ temp outside.
Second time: Given keys to room that was ALREADY OCCUPIED! Good thing I was honest or I could have stolen the nice vacationing German couple's iPad, cameras, jewelries, etc.(don't worry, there are no security cameras - you won't get caught!) Unacceptable. Replacement room sink drain was not hooked up. Water drains directly to floor. WTF.
Third time: Got to hotel late due to travel delays, so they CANCELLED a prepaid 'no-cancellation', no-confirmation required reservation and kept the payment. Claimed 'policy' over and over. Unlike other places they will not restore your reservation on arrival (forfeiting first night). In reality they just wanted to double-dip and resell the room since rates doubled. Shady and greedy. Beware if you're a long distance traveler. Pro-tip - if you must stay at this place (why?) and unsure about arrival time, book the first night separate so they don't nuke the rest of your stay if you get in late. Horrible and self-defeating policy.
Why Hotwire continues to do business with this place is beyond me. Stay away. Spend $10 more and go to a nicer place.
