Worst hospital I have been to ever. I have had 2 visits to pediatrics, had a doctor brush off my toddler fainting twice and vomiting unconscious to later find out something was wrong with her heart. 2nd time I was ordered to take my toddler because she had croupe and her primary said her lungs were closing and she needed emergency care. Got a physicians assistant - no doctor who argued with me for coming, saying I should've taken care of issue at home.... they gave her the breathing treatment after a fight, left us for a hour alone... I had to turn off oxygen myself because treatment only took 20 mins. Kept asking if we were finished to watch our nurse chat with another nurse and continue to ignore us until my husband threw a fit.
I have personally been admitted twice for a heart condition. They forget you in your room. They answer the nurse button but never come even if you wait a hour and remind them 20 mins and then 40 mins later. I had to drag my IV with me while my butt hung out to get anything at all, a blanket, water, someone to turn the alarm off on my IV and make sure it's okay. If you have X-rays or ultrasounds- they forget you in your room and take you hours late. When it comes to be discharged they forget you. I was supposed to be wheeled out and ended up having to just walk myself out after waiting a hour. I'm from and island in the middle of the ocean where everything is slow and not efficient and I would say the care I got back home is 100x better.
Line to get checked in is always super long. People can be screaming, crying or about to pass out waiting to get checked in and there is no sense of urgency or care. Very sad, and frustrating when you think of how much that hospital bill is in the end. Go to arrowhead or Boswell, don't go here.
