  • Very pleased with my experience here at La Quinta. I booked this room a night before my stay due to a change in flight plans on hotels.com. I requested a room away from the elevator. I went to check in and the very helpful clerk at the desk (Allie I think) told me that there was only one room away from the elevator but it was right off the main lobby, she informed me they would upgrade me, no charge to a suite. Awesome! The staff here are very friendly, and very helpful. The hotel itself is very clean, no bedbugs, no mess but it is rather dated. For example, the thermostat and alarm clock look fresh out of 1985, plenty of plugs by the desk however only one "free" plug by the bed after moving the night stand. Free shuttle to and from Pittsburgh Airport. There are fast food restaurants and a Primanti's right next door! The rest of the area is NOT pedestrian friendly. Tried to walk down to the Sheetz and almost got by a car, multiple times. No sidewalks, no crosswalks and with the snow, walking in the shoulder was treacherous. Over all, this hotel was great. Fast, free wifi, pretty awesome continental breakfast (hard boiled eggs, waffle station, coffee, fruit and cereal) and a real friendly and helpful staff.
