I love that fact about this place. Been wanting to try them out, ever since the location in Tempe opened up.
This new location is on the NE corner of Stapley and Baseline, where the old Eklectic Pie was.
I grabbed the combo platter. It comes with some beef gyro, chicken, basmati rice, and lettuce and tomato. There are a few toppings you can have them add, such as onions, and peppers. The "famous" white sauce doesn't cost extra, but garlic spread does. I tried a splash of their hot sauce. They weren't kidding when they say it's 20 times hotter than a jalapeno. Lastly, I got side of hummus and some baklava as well.
Over all, everything was good and tasted fresh. Both meats had good flavor. I really liked the light crispiness of the gyro. Baklava was really good. I wasn't a fan of the hummus. It was a little heavy with tahini for my liking, but it didn't taste bad. I wasn't a fan of the whole pita either. There was something that I didn't like about the texture, but the cut up pieces that they use, were good.
Staff was really friendly, and the place is open late. Worth a try, in my opinion. I will be back.
