| - The hotel was nice, most of the front desk agents were helpful. Before I arriving, I called specifically to ask if I could use my employee discount and was told I could use it on food and beverages. After arrival on my second day there, I went down and the graveyard shift was working. I requested to use my employee discount on a soda and she said she wasn't allowed to. After asking why, she couldn't answer (all this when I used my discount earlier that day). After getting frustrated, I said fine, i'll just pay for it and when I tried to pay for it, she told me she couldn't take cash. I had to wait for my friend to come with a debit card to make my purchase. After the transaction was complete, I walked away and my friend said that after we were walking toward the door, the employee rolled her eyes at us. Ridiculous. The next day I talked to a manager and he said that yes, I could use my discount and yes, they took cash at all hours of the day. Worst customer service I have had in awhile and felt completely untaken care of by the company. This is unfortunate because I work at a Marriott hotel as well and this was the opposite of customer service.
