  • Wow. Wasn't expecting much from the outside, and plenty of chain froyos have sorely disappointed me (cough *Tutti Fruitti*). Coming from California, I was surprised to see zero Pinkberrys and Yogurtlands in the vicinity as well. Enter Aloha Yogurt. I admit, what drew me in this fine afternoon was seeing they had Guiness flavored froyo and Irish Cream froyo in their Instagram! Boyfriend was definitely interested in trying it, even if just for the novelty. We weren't offered any sample cups (booo) but I guess that's too much to expect from a local business that's NOT a national chain (i.e. Yogurtland). What I love about their selection was how they displayed the nutritional info for each and every flavor! That was such a pleasant surprise! The Guiness and Irish Cream flavors were both interesting. I appreciate the ingenuity behind creating these flavors. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have any coconut flavor this time around, but from what I gather they change flavors every so often, so perhaps in the future. I also had the normal tart, Ghirardelli chocolate, and pistachio - they were all very good and unlike Yogurtland, the consistency and taste of every flavor was NOT too watery or overly sweet. They had crushed Oreos AND ground Oreos! So cool! Plus they had warm Reeses peanut butter sauce in a pump - it tasted delish! They also had both toasted coconut and regular coconut shavings. They really had an impressive selection of toppings. I didn't hesitate to sign up for a rewards card and since I live so near, I'd love to come back here for a quick low calorie dessert - especially when the hotter months come creeping in. Gotta rack up those rewards points. The chill register guy - who I think is the owner? - ran after me in the parking lot to return my debit card, which was very kind of him. I'll definitely be checking their Facebook or Instagram every so often to see if any new flavors piques my interest. They also have a cold brew coffee, albeit a bit expensive, which I'd like to try next time. And if you've got a dog, they have doggie froyo available! (I wonder if I can feed my cats some doggie froyo.)
