I guess that I have to give the Bellagio Buffet 3 stars. Four of us returned to Las Vegas after an absence of several years. We arrived on a Saturday. This is good news and bad news we thought. The bad news is that the price will be very high and the lines long. We expected the good news to be Ostrich steaks, Elk roast, Venison and many other excellent foods that we have previously enjoyed only at the Bellagio. The Bellagip Buffet was ranked as one of the top few buffets in the world! We were excited
When we arrived at the buffet we were surprised to find no line at all. The price turned out to be even higher than we expected, that was off putting. We paid, went in and grabbed our plates. We found no exotic foods at all. Not the meats nor the delicious seaweed or any of my "only at the Bellagio" favorites. We were told that these items have been removed from the menu along with other higher cost to the restaurant items. The price went up but the food got cheaper!
The food is still prepared well and is very tasty but the Bellagio is no longer even worth an honorable mention in Nevada, never mind listed as one of the best buffers in the world. Good food but not worth the cost. The old buffet will now be relighted to a memory of great feasts gone by.
