| - I recently wrote a review for the Metro Pawn on N. Rancho and I wanted to follow up with a review for the location I actually frequent the most: N. Decatur (in WalMart shopping center across street from Costco).
The location is certainly not the best, but with the type of business they are, they can be considered a destination venue as they are the only Pawn business that I'm aware of in this part of town.
They offer a bit of an unadvertised (at this location) Yelp deal of 10% off your purchase if you write a Yelp review (regardless of rating, obv). Also, $5 off your loan if you like them on FB.
I decided to waltz into this location a few months back as I had recently picked up a gaming console and wanted to check their resale prices and selection. Though their selection was relatively small, their assortment literally can change daily and every time I've gone in, it has been different games available, at extremely affordable prices, plus the ability to negotiate the price if you're buying a few.
The store itself is quite intimate and the service provided by the staff is exceptional, both in friendliness, and knowledge. I worked with Megan, Kyle, and Blair on my most recent trip and I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. I ended up purchasing 3 games and they were willing to take my name any number down should some specific game genres come in that I'm looking for. On previous occasions, I have worked with associate Demario, and he was also a great employee to work with.
Overall, I simply could not recommend Metro Pawn any more highly as a shopper. Should I ever need a collateralized loan, I will be sure to give them a shot first.
