  • My friends and I planned ourselves a special date to check out Lab Sense, the new kid on the food block at Markville Mall. They serve 6 options for nitrogen icecream ($6.55 + tax), a few drinks and nitrogen Cheetos. I was drawn to the tofu soy milk ice cream; one of my friends wanted tiramisu but they ran out so in the end, both my friends chose the strawberry cheesecake. After we ordered, the store suddenly got busier and lined up behind us were around 8 other people. With only two staff, they couldn't get to our orders right away so we waited around 8-10 min for our ice creams. It was okay because we weren't in a rush and used the time to take some instaworthy photos by their pink flowery wall. When they called my number, I was super excited because the ice cream had a cool eerie smoke coming out of it! Just a warning, the cup was surprisingly hot so be careful! We took our ice creams to the food court area as there wasn't enough seating inside the store (around 3 tables). I found the ice cream extremely smooth and silky and appreciated how true the flavors were to soy milk. However after finishing it, I kinda wished I had ordered something that didn't taste healthy because it didn't give me the guilty satisfaction of eating dessert. My friends on the other hand felt the opposite and said the strawberry cheesecake icecream was very satisfying! For $6.55, I don't think I'll be having it again for a while, but it was a neat experience and would recommend for anyone looking to splurge a little bit... you're at the mall anyways, why not?
