| - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
I've been to the market before and I had a great time this year as well.
I always check the weather before I go. It can be super cold, so dress accordingly.
Parking is a pain in the ass on weekends. There is street parking and parking lots but a lot of times taking the bus from Castle Frank station is less of a hassle.
Another good reason not to drive is that there are lots of drink samples!
As we made our way around we had wine samples, spiked nog, chocolate milk, and ginger green tea with honey liquor.
There are stands with mulled wine and cider, I love mulled wine...it's like winter Sangria with holiday spices.
As for food stands, there is something for everyone! There were lineups but nothing too insane.
I ate the following delicious things:
* Veal schnitzel sandwich with red peppers and mayo
* Oktoberfest sausage with sauerkraut
* Chocolate rum balls
* Deep fried apple fritters with cinnamon and sugar
* Deep fried Twinkies
I wish I had room for grilled cheese, poutine, waffles, and perogies!
They had cute booths for mittens, gloves, jams, bacon chocolate.
The shops are open as well if you want to peruse some expensive but unique items.
I wish I had more time to chill at the Bier Garden. Nothing like having a pint by a wood fire outdoors.
Depending on what you are expecting, you may like or hate the market.
I didn't care much for the entertainment and I was just there to hang out and look at booths and have snacks and drinks.
I have fun here and I'll be back next year for some Distillery holiday cheer!
