My experience here from the time I walked in was aweful.... I made an apt for 4pm for me and a girl date with my best friend whom I never see... I specifically requested to have my gel polish changed and some stones just as the third photo in their yelp page.... I described it and got some rough estimates. They were a little pricey but I'm understanding that they're location is at the district and the place definitely has options and nail art and I mean wow look at some of their designs....I need my polish change and toes done at the same time bc my gf was only only doing toes. I am considerate of her time and ours together unlike this business.
My biggest thing about this specific business is that they lack communication because of the fact that if had I known who the nail artist responsible for most of the nail art done on this yelp page and specifically the one I was describing, we could have saved ourselves the troubles. Also common to advise people of every additional charge given like the glitter my guy chose as apposed to regular gel glitter I requested in the beginning... simply beware of these charges.
I'm a positive person and I had remained positive during my entire experience thinking or assuming they would cut me some slack on SOME of the additional fees at the time of checking out considering that I had to soak of my entire coffin shaped and somewhat long nails and had both my services done SEPARATELY instead of at the same time.
Yes, I booked my polish change at THE SAME TIME as my pedicure, meaning pedicure should have been done at or approximately at the same time as my nail art was. So with that being said, I had my feet in water for an hour and a half while the guy who wasn't the artist responsible for the photo that I initially called for did my nail art...mind u he spilled the entire tray of rhinestones ouch big no no to leave those trays open while working on someone and he place the tray behind him excuse my language like a dummy. Anyone who doesn't even do nails like me knows this. That bites... I felt for him still at this point...
After beginning my pedicure with Candace who is amazing yesssss, no complaints except when I misunderstood her according to them when she said she would c if they waive the $20 fee bc I waited an hour n a half to start pedicure... maybe an hour but feet in the water that long get old, doesn't matter.
My girlfriend had to call a ride and my boyfriend had to leave to get my daughter take her to dance and come back bc we should have been done and home in time. This place did not consider any of these things.
As I was getting my pedicure done I figured out who was responsible for the photo I have described and I was so excited. She began to take my nails off and soak them because I hated the nail art that the other gentleman had done. Sorry if I'm a diva but I'm not bc I know what I like.
My bill was $130 leaving.... I asked for a break down they literally charged $35 gel polish change and $45 pedi ok but tried to charge me $15 for glitter on nails when I wanted regular gel glitter ok I got that waived then still $20 added to toes so $65 total and even as of now this makes no sense bc if they tried to charge me $130 and waved $15 of my hand then why was my bill still $120??? I had to tip $10 to the girl taking off my nails and five dollars to my pedicure and five dollars to the guy that ruined my nail art but if my bill had been only $80 ($45 plus $35) I would've tipped them all $10 each and still came back for GABY today!
That's her name!!!! Go see her but beware of others! Owner working yesterday not only cut me no slack on what was their fault and lack of communication but tried to bombard me with what r their issues and make me feel like that's life and everyone pays. I was not expecting anything free something to make up for their lack of communication the receptionist kept apologizing for... I'm done. Long but #sorrynotsorry
This post isn't about the money. I used to pay these prices at Laque Nail bar in Hollywood almost weekly bc there was no secret and communication was great and most of all they valued you! The owner at Laque is amazing.... me coming back today was more important to me in the long run but obviously not to them. I was offered a discount today but I'm not sure that's how it really works in life...
