  • To be clear, I wouldn't come here for ice cream because there is a yummier local shop right across the street. But I wanted to get an ice cream cake for my boyfriend's birthday and I remembered liking Cold Stone cakes as a kid so I decided to try it out. It was a decent ice cream cake but I was a little annoyed because I asked for it to be ready for pick up at six and I came in around 6:15 and they said it still needed 20 minutes for decorating. Luckily I could stop by after dinner without going too much out of my way but I certainly wasn't thrilled about it. The Chocolate Shoppe requires more advance notice for a custom ice cream cake but I feel like you'd get a better product so I'll be sticking to that from now on.
