  • This is by far one of my favorite and most frequented restaurant in Charlotte. It's very casual and very laid back. The servers have all worked there for years - they are fast , friendly and informative. I do feel the main dining room could use an upgrade but I love the local art displayed in the back bar area. Sit there if you have an appreciation of local art. The food is why I come back time and time again. The pot roast is the best I have ever had ... Ever. The steak salad with their home made smoked tomato basil dressing is awesome. The chicken and dumplings rock. I venture off with the special from time to time but mostly stick to those 3 dishes. I have never had a bad meal and eat there at least 3 times a month for the last 8 years. If you have not eaten there - you must.
