| - This is one of the overall best restaurants in Pittsburgh for three reasons:
1) The appetizers. If they have it on the menu, as some items are seasonal, the spicy tuna poke bowl is a MUST TRY. The tuna was clearly fresh, the dish wasn't smothered in spicy mayo like a regular tuna roll might be, and it was overall delicious. It had me and the person I was eating with literally scraping up single grains of rice to finish off.
2) The drinks. They have a really fresh and innovative cocktail menu and a pretty good wine list as well. I had the rum punch, and it was very very good.
3) Fried chicken Thursdays. This was the reason we were there on a Thursday night. They have fried chicken plates every Thursday, and it is very very good. Upon being seated, we were told they were out of the fried chicken and I was disappointed, so it might be worth it to go a little earlier in the night if you're really interested. However, they still had the fried chicken sandwiches, and I got the spicy chicken version which was truly delicious. It was crispy and perfectly spicy, I would definitely recommend it.
A little tip, the waffle fries are AMAZING.
