I've wanted to try wings from WildFire for the last 8 months and finally got around to it this summer. Wildfire wings is found in the food-court area of the Calgary Farmer's Market. The line up was long but fairly efficient. They do wings by the pound. $7.95/lb and if you order 3 lbs you get 1 lb free. Not a bad price specially since the wings are from ceritified organic chickens. They offer about 8-10 flavours from Pesto and Goat Cheese to the regular Hot wings. They also offer a lunch combo which is 1 lb of wings plus fries, coleslaw and vegetables an dip for $9.95 plus GST. I opted for the lunch combo with Garlic and Parmesan wings.
The fries were ok, fresh cut but not crispy enough. The coleslaw is terrible, slaw vegetables in a commercial mayonnaise and salt added. Vegetables were strips of carrot and celery with ranch dressing for dip. Wings are their business, and these they do par excellence. Crispy even though coated with the flavour of choice and nice and moist on the inside. There were about 7 pieces, larger than average wings. There was sufficient garlic to be dangerous but not overpowering and enough parmesan so that you know there was cheese on them. I'm definitely going to go back to try some of the other flavours. My advice, skip the combo and just order by the pound.
