  • I went to Aroma Wellness Clinic and Spa today to get my first Brazilian wax. I was at the spa for the very first time in February when I received a complimentary bikini wax-something they offered to first time clients. When I arrived about 15 minutes prior to my appointment, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who told me that Mary would be with my shortly. Mary arrived shortly thereafter (early) and took me into the room. Mary is extremely professional and skilled at waxing. It was quick and as painless as a Brazilian wax can be. She saw the fear in my eyes before she started (lol) and eased my fears by telling me not to worry and what to do to minimize the pain. She started off with a regular bikini wax, and then when she saw that I was ok with continuing, she completed everything in mere minutes. She even let me squeeze in an underarm wax even though it wasn't scheduled, but because there was still time she very happily obliged. So, I survived my first Brazilian wax without the aid of any numbing spray or anything like that, but from what I've read, the numbing spray is an option if you wish. I am very pleased, and will most certainly go back. Side note: When I arrived at the spa, I opened up my foursquare app and "checked-in" to the spa. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I would receive 15% off just for checking in! Nice! :)
