Tried this place based on a recommendation from friend. I wasn't sure what to expect since the reviews from other Yelper's was limited and not favorable. The place was busy and packed with customers...so it has to be good.
There was a musician playing live music, which added a nice touch. The facility is designed and made to feel like an old rustic building turned into a restaurant. You do get that feel in 1855.
Adult drinks are mixed well !! I ordered the "1855 Steak w/cheese and garlic fries" and wife ordered "Filet mignon w/mash potatoes". Both meals came with salad. Both meals were cooked to order and tender. Prices were a little on the high side "for me", but you get what you pay for....outstanding service and an excellent meal.
Staff was very friendly and came back many times to ask how everything was and to refill drinks. Great job considering it was a busy night.
