| - I took in 3 items and was charged $60 for the work I wanted done. I did not receive satisfactory work on any of the 3 garments
One one shirt, I was charged $35 and was told the bunching on the shoulders would remain after the alteration and that was the reason for the expense. The bunching is no longer on the shoulders.
On my jeans, I asked for the original hem and when I got them back, they were just cut and resewn, no original hem. When I inquired about it, I was told there wasn't a difference in the original hem and the pant leg and that the to have the original hem sewn on would have been $25. First of all, if there is no difference, why would there be a different charge. Second, had I been told that, I would have paid for it. As it stands now, the pants are not what I wanted.
On a skirt, I just needed a seam resewn. It appears it was done in quite a hurry as now the material is puckered where it was resewn.
I have taken items to the tailor many times and have never encountered such shoddy workmanship. I would have expected more from a company that calls themselves, Alterations, Inc.
