  • Dr. Katie Hightower is a miracle worker! I'm only 30 years old, but over the past few years I've experienced lingering tension in my mid-back area, as well as in my shoulders. I make my living working on a computer for 8-12 hours every day, so I knew I needed to take action now -- or things could get much worse down the line. Katie is an astute listener. Our first session was equal parts interview and physical therapy session. She took the time to understand me and my lifestyle which gave her a more complete understanding of my physical well-being -- I can't stress how important that is. In addition to relieving the tension and pain in my trouble areas through Active Release Techniques (ART -- painful, but highly effective), soft tissue therapy, massages, adjustments, and stretching, Katie also made several recommendations to help improve the ergonomics of my work station, as well as my sleep position. My sessions with Katie, coupled with the lifestyle adjustments I've made under her advisement, have made an extremely positive impact on my life. It's not just that I'm in less pain -- I truly feel better. And for that reason, I highly recommend Dr. Katie Hightower to anyone suffering from pain and / or tension in their back / shoulders.
