Took our (biracial) toddler to get his hair cut. The woman(didn't tell us her name but she was middle-aged, petite with shoulder length brown hair) looks at me, looks at My son and asks what haircut his parents want. Then, tries to confirm that I am just the nanny. I don't know if I should feel delighted for looking like a young, fabulous nanny, or offended that she didn't believe that he could possibly be my child. Social ignorance at its finest.
I should have left but was so taken aback that we went to the chairs. She tried to put us at a dirty station with clumps of hair everywhere. We asked for a different chair and we're not offered a video at the station for him. The haircut itself was okay but a bit uneven.
I give two stars because when my husband took him previously, service was good and the other ladies were patient and kind to our little man. A cut ran about $20, except when we were sent coupons via email. He has curly, course hair and I do find it to often be uneven in the front by his face. I usually end up trimming that. They have a Thomas the Train table in front which our kiddo is obsessed with. However, due to our experience, we won't be back to this location.
