| - Epices de Cru is a small little family-owned spice shop, located inside the Jean-Talon market. This place is beautiful - I love how it's decorated, and the shelves are filled with spices upon spices upon spices galore! Besides spices, there are herbs, chiles, spice blends, herb blends, and peppers; if you're looking to re-create a dish of a certain cuisine - don't fret! Spices by cuisine are also available (African, Canadian/American, Chinese, French, Greek, Indian/Sri Lankan, Mediterranean, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Moroccan, SE Asian, Spanish, Turkish, and West Indian). There are also teas, spice kits, books, and cute accessories that are available for purchasing and gifts. I never knew that there were so many varieties of the vanilla bean, and the friendly staff member (who happens to be the owners' son) was super informative, helpful, and allows you to browse as much as you want and even sniff the spices. This place almost makes me want to move to Montreal and start cooking up random recipes, just so that I can shop here and hoard their items :P Definitely worth checking out! :D
