  • Called Affordable Sun Screens to look at my house in which they were very pleasant on the phone. Told me they were extremely busy and could not get to my house for an estimate until 4/13, I had called on 4/05. I thought that was fair and scheduled the estimate. They gave me a window between 9-12 on 4/13. At 11:45 am on 4/13 I received a call telling me he was backed up at another job and didn't know when he could get there. My wife had waited all morning for him to arrive. I understood and said if today is too backed up would you prefer tomorrow morning. The guy was delighted and said that would be perfect, 9 - 12 window on 4/14. Took work off and waited for the guy, no call no show......that pisses me off. Obviously he thinks he is the only one in town that is busy I guess. Received a quote from another local company Screenmobile and it isn't exactly a small job. Way different professionalism and came out two days after calling them and had a quoted the same day. I guess there is a reason I see their trucks around the neighborhood a lot and positive reviews and recommendations on the Nextdoor app. If this is how this company treats prospective customers, I imagine their service when you sign the dotted line and show them the money. Companies like this shouldn't be in business, they survive simply because the remodel market is very strong right now and everyone is busy....and they probably have a cheap price for a reason....I wouldn't know because they never bothered calling me or showing up.
