  • Yeah, I know what you must be thinking, a guy reviewing a nail salon, what the heck is going on!!?? It's not as uncommon as you'd think as I actually wasn't the only guy in there. I'm 6'0", 185 lbs and the other guy was much larger than me so it's not like there are tiny dudes just running around with their noses in the air with man purses draped across their shoulders asking their BFFs what type of nail polish complements their outfit. Through this experience, I have learned that getting a manicure does not diminish your masculinity. I was all too concerned that by my fiancee dragging me into a nail salon that my "man quotient" would drop immensely. I'm no longer afraid of that. I have been to other nail salons in the past as a guest just trying to do my due diligence as a supportive significant other. I can recall being bored to tears and not really engaging myself in the overall experience. I walked into Paradise Nail Bar and was blown away by what I saw. The decor was very nice, the environment fits their namesake perfectly. Their equipment is top-notch all of their manicure and pedicure chairs were of the best quality. Although I didn't get a pedicure (don't think I ever will), I could tell that the chairs were extremely comfortable, I know the manicure chairs were. We were greeted right away and something happened to us that we'd never expect. We were offered water, tea, red or white wine to drink while we were waiting for the salon technicians to prepare...WHO DOES THIS!!?? The service was simply incredible. The only reason I dropped the rating a star is because of a palpable difference in the varying skill levels of the technicians. I noticed that my fiancees nails looked perfect and I still had hangnails. This could be because my lady's hands were in way better condition than mine, who knows. Overall, they still did a good job.
