I think this place is a tad over-rated. It's close to the beach so at like 4-5pm there's a flood of sandy half naked people rolling in to regain energy lost with pints and pub grub. I had the poutine - fries were kind of burnt, not that great. Fish and chips are very ver standard, I wouldn't pay more than 7-8 bucks max but here they charge close to 14.
I love their new patio out back though, during the day it gets direct sunlight and it's so fresh and the wood is lovely looking, if that makes sense, and it's not facing the constant traffic and line ups that the front is. I can never get a seat at the front patio, always a 30min-1hour wait.
I highly recommend Kronenbourg Blanc (a pint is $7.50 i think and the pitcher is $19.99) if you're a wheat fan. It's PHENOMENAL. My new favorite. Staff are nice, but busy busy and it's hard to flag them down because a lot of them times they're working both downstairs and upstairs areas.
This place is a little pricey for me, I wouldn't come here intentionally but when I go to the beach I usually end up with a beer in hand chattin up some tipsy Irish lad.
