We went here to celebrate my father in law's birthday on a Friday night. We've been here a couple times before and the previous experience was always fantastic.
This time we were seated downstairs which is nice because we've never been seated down there before. We ordered the scallops, scallop and prawn ceviche, brant lake wagyu ribeye, sides of parmesan truffle fries, baked potato, mushrooms, arctic char, cheesecake and apple crumble.
The scallops came with a short rib croquette which overshadowed the scallops. The scallops were just alright definitely nothing to write home about and the croquettes too. The ceviche was probably the biggest disappointment; it was bland and there was no hint of citrus whatsoever and for $27; we would not recommend ordering it. The arctic char was also a little bit overcooked and the dish was kind of bland. The steaks were also not tender. The diners that had the steaks said that the steaks were better at Caesar's.
The highlights of the meal was the mushrooms, fries and apple crumble. I would be very hesitate to come here again since this time the food definitely was not up to par compared to the prior visits.
