We left after our trial. My son, then age 5, had been taking martial arts for over a year when his facility went out of business. The school that we attended made some kind of deal with the DePalma studios to help the displaced families find a new place and help by giving us a "discounted" rate. My son attended 4 classes, as that's what the trial allowed. There were 15+ kids in each class, with only one instructor, and then 2 kids under the age of 10 assisting him. It was complete chaos. None of the kids got any attention or correction, the teacher was so outnumbered. The class was just going nuts the whole time, and I'm pretty sure that's not how karate is supposed to go. And the cost was double what we had been paying at our previous facility. We ended up signing a contract down the road with the Price family over a year ago now, and continue to have an amazing experience. Great coaching and much more realistic pricing for our area. I would not recommend this particular DePalmas studio when Price's is a mile down the road.
