  • Brenda B. and anita m.'s opinions convinced me to call and then go to Dr. Arteaga at Sahara Animal Hospital one morning after my dachshund suddenly took a took for the worse with her back pain while we were on a trip out of town. I don't live in Las Vegas--I was staying in Henderson, and needed the name of a good veterinarian to provide medicine and medical advice for my dog until we could get her home. Well. I got incredible compassion and knowledge from Dr. Arteaga, who took his time to provide explanations, took great care with my darling dachshund, and showed great compassion in advising us on how to care for our dachshund. There were lots of little extra gestures that made me grateful to him forever--the way he cared for my dog (she loved him immediately), the way he took a few extra minutes to listen to our questions, the way in which he advised us on how to save money on medications. And provided insight into what the best medications were, for our dachshund's conditions. No rush at all. Incredible. If I lived in Vegas, I would be switching veterinarians to Dr. Arteaga immediately. His front office is incredibly kind and accommodating--she squeezed me in for an emergency visit on a holiday weekend, and was very friendly and kind upon visit.
