  • 10 stars from me and specifically on the efforts shown by my ambulance team and Dr Hixson in ER. Best doc Ive had care for me since my RA diagnosis 3/21/18. 06/07/18 @ 8pm I was rode into St. Rose ER after getting dizzy and fainting at work (GVR). I was tested and had 97/48 blood pressure readings. Soon I was put on the stretcher and brought here for further evaulation. I am a RA patient and had been experiencing a REALLY bad flare up along with my fainting episode. All after 7.5 hrs already worked. I can honestly say as far as bad experiences go, I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with my assigned nurse, Mrs Sonjia. 5 stars to St Rose on absolutely everything else though. Great, great, great!!! I SERIOUSLY couldnt be more grateful for the care shown by my ambulance team and Dr Hixson. Ive not been to a better hospital in Las Vegas. This place was efficient and thorough. After being rolled to my room from the ambulance I was IMMEDIATELY met with an unpleasant naggy nurse who basically filled my stay with tons of being rushed. Nurse SONIJA would arrive and like clock work she would scold me with "I wont be staying, to hurry up and call a ride". **note** I spent about 3.5-5 hrs in ER and HAD acknowledged her the FIRST time to prepare a ride (@730pm). Before any treatment was given or even being evaluated I was conditioned to think I was in bad hands. Still disoriented and experiencing 10/10 pain, her every 5-10 min returns for the next 3 hrs were just the same aggressive "call your ride" No "how are you feeling, can I help you with anything and even had her tell me NO to asking for water... Just VERY withdrawn and pesty "HONEY CALL YOUR RIDE"! ER with her was just unwelcoming and irritating. I was surprised how little concern she showed for anything else. From the moment my ambulance team had left Mrs Sonjia almost ensured her bad day would also be my own. Geninuley I felt there was no care for me or the things going on. I recieved MAYBE 3 whole check ups and they all in which, I CALLED HER. With every question I needed to ask SONJIA it just seemed to uninterest her and be an inconvience on my end. Laying there in pain for a while became my go to. I am an insured patient through Health Plan of Nevada and again was rode in from Green Valley Ranch Casino. WORK! I hoped for a different type of care from my nurse, this experience just felt too similar to a Desert Springs visit. sorry to take away from how GREAT Dr Hixson but my nurse just made for a abrasive time Whole heartedly I am GRATEFUL for the whole team!!! "Ive not given 5 stars to a hospital nor have even experienced what thatd be like but this place deserves it. Much more than the reviews suggest. There are WAY WORSE. All in all Sonjia had to be the ONLY bad experience there. I dont know if personal or maybe just having a bad day but I dont wanna see her again, ATLEAST on any of my personal visits. St Rose will STILL definitely be my place for care in LV.
