| - Okay sushi, okay price
It's 3:30 and I'm craving for sushi. Here comes Sushi Q and I see from the side windows the sushi masters working hard at prepping the rolls. I was also drawn to this store by the nice greeting from the lady at the counter (not sure if she's the owner). I picked the $7.95 dynamite roll which had shrimp tempura and cucumber mixed in with green onions and soy sauce. The rice tasted old as it was hard to chew. There were 5 large pieces in the container, with your typical commercialized red ginger, wasabi and Kikkoman soy sauce. Btw they charge $0.10 for extra wasabi and ginger. At the checkout, the lady asked me if I wanted miso soup, which comes as part of the "combo". Not sure what the combo reference is aside from the miso soup and my 5 pieces sushi. I guess maybe some ppl opt out of the soup and that makes the purchase less of a combo? At least I wasn't charged extra, bc the total came to $8something, which sounds abt right from the $7.95 pretax. Soup was okay, typical of most other food court miso soup, no extra little pieces of tofu in soup either. For the quality of sushi that I got, I really should have been charged with EOD pricing...Tip for future, ask them to make sushi on spot for fresher ingredients!
