| - When I visit Glendale for a Coyotes game, I make every attempt to stay here. Only once did I not have a pleasant stay, and this could have become a bad stay if the hotel didn't step in.
I had a group of 25 people coming in on April 11th and most of us got a call the day before saying our check in would be moved to 6:00 pm, because another group wasn't checking out until 5.
We booked these rooms back in February (and its now April) and I was a bit upset that we would not have the room(s) before the hockey game at 6:00. Most of us arrived at 3:30 pm, and our room(s) were not ready yet. To apologize for the inconvenience, I asked the hotel to waive the valet fee, and also to provde access to the spa to change into hockey appropriate clothes.
The hotel also gave us vouchers for free drinks at the bar, and 10% off spa services as part of the inconvenience. Fortunately the room(s) became ready by 5:00 pm, and we were able to freshen up prior to the 6:00 game.
The rooms are always nice, clean, and worthy of their 5-star rating. They are probably not the cheapest hotel in town, but the location cannot be beat. Literally across the walkway to the Gila River Arena, and next door is the Westgate Entertainment area, with tons of shops, restaurants, bars, and even a movie theater. Across the parking lot is the Tangers shopping outlet, which I have yet to visit. And, across the street is a Cracker Barrel and a Cabela's retail store.
The valet is also second to none. They provide each guest with a number to call or text, and they'll have your car ready when you come down. They also offered my group bottled waters to take on the road.
This could have easily been a 3 or 4 star review, but after all was said and done, the visit was practically perfect.
