  • We were in the area & craving ice cream. I was surprised to see Handel's ice cream. I'm familiar with the one in Chippewa. The flavors seem very similar. Super cool that it's open all year round. We decides to split a brownie sundae.. Which is what we normally do at ice cream joints since they are huge. The counter girl was friendly. Our sundae was satisfying and the girl even gave me a cup of water after i requested it. She topped our sundae off with peanuts, walnuts heck maybe even almonds? Idk. The sundae was good but man theres some tough ice cream competition in the burgh. I will say though that I would've given 4 stars if the Brownie had been warmed. I was hoping for it that way. Maybe it can be by request? Kudos to this business though.. In a neighborhood surrounded by places going out of business, they are alive and kicking.
