The Tao beach was a great time and proivded an aray of awesome people watching.
We had some friends staying at the Venetian so they were able to get their hands on some passes so we didn't have to pay cover. There was 6 girls in our group so getting in was not a problem.
It was not until we went to the bar that I learned that we were actually given wrist bands for an 1 hours worth of free, cheap booze. Score!
We got there at around 12:30pm and most of the "free" space was taken, so at the last minute we decided to get a table. It was a $500 min for the day and though it was pricey it turned out to be the best idea ever. We had a great seat and place in the shade to relax, dance and observe the scene.
Service was spotty at times. When you are dropping a bit of money I expect that when I ask for water that it doesn't take 45 min and multiple requests. Likewise, the bus boys were a little too attentive in cleaning up. I would put down my drink that was half empty and turn around and bam it was gone.
One thing that I have to note is that I did not go into the pool once. It looked a breeding ground for germs and who knows what else. It was a complete sausage fest!
Fun to do once in a while, but if you don't care about being seen at the day club you could have just as easily sat outside the day club at the Venetian pool and heard the exact same music. Might be something worth thinking about if you are on a budget.
