So, my regular (for 20+ years) barber is out of commission for a bit and as usual I'm way over due for a cut. I've heard all the douchey commercials on the radio and I live in Lyndhurst so, I've walked and driven by the Lyndhurst location a thousand times... Anyhow, I decided after decades of getting my hair cut by a gnarled old man with recycled jokes (still love the damn guy though) I'd get my hair cut by someone of the fairer sex who promised to be easier on the eyes.
I walked in as a new customer and typed my name and number in their terminal in 15 seconds and chose "first available" for the stylist. Sat down in one of their leather lounge chairs for 45 seconds and got escorted back by my stylist whose name didn't even register with me as she was extremely soft-spoken and had this squeaky little voice. I'll get it out of the way... Yes, she was quite attractive. Okay, so I sit down and she asks me how I'd like it cut and makes her suggestions as well which sounded pretty good to me so, I went with them. She didn't talk much and that was fine. I'd rather they not try to chat me up like a stripper and I can then avoid responding like a dirt-ball.
I watched her deftly wield her comb and shears in the large mirror right in front of me and she had my cut done in less than 20 minutes and I must say all though she took a different approach to my hairstyle than my barber I think I might prefer her cut.
I paid, tipped, and got back in my car all in about 30 minutes. When my guy retires finally or is unavailable again I'll definitely go back.
