| - Zero stars should be an option. I have had my house cleaned in Las Vegas every couple of months for five years. It has never cost more than $300. Normally it's $200-250. I decided to try a different company as both of the companies we normally use were unavailable. Showing up to the job two hours later than they quoted didn't start things off on the right foot. After it took two women a full hour to clean one small bedroom and (most of) a master bathroom, the company called me to tell me it would be 6 hours @ $75/hour or $450 to do the same job that every other company has done for $250...for the last five years. She went on to attempt to close me with the ridiculous question "Well what part of the house do you want them -not- to clean?" Um, yeah no. Nice try. Still, in an effort to compromise, we made arrangements to have them clean for 4 hours. Moments later my phone rang to have another manager tell me she was "having her girls leave" the job despite the agreement we made. (By the way, they are grown women, not girls. The sexual revolution came in the 1970s, which seems to be the same year you bought all your vacuum cleaners). I am now stuck with a mostly uncleaned house Friday at 4:30pm that needed to be clean for the weekend. It's too bad because the actual women cleaning were very nice, professional, and seemed to be hard workers. Well, they did break a window shade in the bathroom, and their vacuum cleaner looked like it was stolen from the set of Welcome Back Kotter but they were nice. Too bad their managers are rude and unprofessional and are exploiting their workers. How much of that $75/hour goes to them? I'll guess minimum wage. Do not use this company. From their dated, cheap vacuum to their rude customer service and insanely expensive rates, you can find much, much better companies that will clean your home in Vegas. This franchise of Molly Maid should be embarrassed by the way they do business. But looking at almost nothing but 1 star reviews, clearly they don't care. Oh, and if you're looking for someone to clean your house just know there are DOZENS of home-based businesses that will do it for $20/hour per cleaner they send. If you choose to pay $75/hour for the exact same work, well... that's on you.
