| - I have never gone somewhere and felt the need to write a negative review, but this place was a first for me, and I have never had a worse pedicure in my life.
I went here with my family, and none of us walked out with better nails than we entered with. My own pedicure was done with a goopy polish and a sloppy paint job. You can see every ridge of my nails, and some parts of the polish are super thin. Parts of each nail are still unpainted, but of course she made sure all the skin around my nails had polish that she didn't remove. She didn't even take off all the polish from my previous pedicure. Not to mention, she didn't do my cuticles (at all) and trimmed some of my nails at weird angles. And when she went to slip my sandals on, she completely took the polish off one toe, and wasn't going to do anything until I prompted her to fix it.
My $28 pedicure took all of twenty minutes, and I still have calluses on my feet despite the callus removal I requested. And I didn't even mention the burning rash I have on my shin from the lotion they used.
My family fared no better. My mom's French manicure looks like it was done by Stevie Wonder, and my dad's pedicure and callus removal was absolutely half-ass. My sister was waiting for a manicure, and when some other lady walked in, they took the other lady first. My sister waited an hour and never even got her service done. They wouldn't even let her sit with us in the pedicure chairs, even though there was no one else in there besides us and the other lady.
My friend (who came with us) requested a sunflower on her big toes, and showed them a photo. She ended up with something from a preschool art class on her feet. The petals were literally patchy lines.
When my dad tried to pay, the women started yelling at my mom. My father's a big, kinda gruff guy, but he had just sat there quietly the whole time, or talked to me. And when he got to the counter (I was sitting in a chair behind him, talking to my friend and watching him pay), all he said was, "I'll pay $100 towards the bill. My wife'll get the rest."
The woman doing my mom's manicure started yelling at her to make him stop shouting, and something else in Vietnamese. He was just standing there with his wallet in his hand, and had no idea why they were yelling.
My sister had gone to the grocery store next door to get cash for a tip, and when he finally paid, the two women at the counter glared at him and spoke to one another in Vietnamese. They were also glancing at his wallet, obviously waiting for him to give them some cash. My mom told them more than once, "My other daughter's getting cash for a tip," but they didn't listen or care. When my sister arrived with the cash, they took it from her hand and didn't look at us again.
Our services totaled over $150, but I think we got about $20 worth of effort all together. We went in there for a nice, relaxing time, but they were rude and did a terrible job. I could understand the attitude if we were rude or bitchy, but we were polite and quiet. Long story short, I have no idea how these people got a space near the Biltmore, but they definitely don't deserve it, and I will never go back.
