| - Car dealerships across America play tricks and deploy deceptions on their customers.
We all know that.
So when I decided to contact BMW Scottsdale, I was prepared for their antics.
But I thought, this is toney Scottsdale. Surely they must have pride. Surely they must have self-esteem. Surely they must be above all other car dealerships.
But no.
The sales people at BMW Scottsdale only knows how to cheat their customers. They only know sweet talk. They think all customers must be morons.
When the first sales person could not get his shenanigans past me, he goes to his playbook, which is to switch sales staff.
Enters Mr. Joe Smuck number two.
He then promise the best customer service in the world.
That he will find me the best deal.
That he will provide the ultimate customer service I ever imagined.
Sure.
Then when I inquire on a few details, Mr. Joe Smuck number two is upset because I don't play by his book. When I ask prudent questions, Mr. Joe Smuck gets upset. That he can't see the "end game" with me, which is for me to pay his high price and allows him to get his commission from my hard-earned money.
So Mr. Joe Smuck number two goes back to the last chapter in his playbook, which is to hit the "ESC" button and escape.
How convenient.
Hey, BMW Scottsdale. I know it is not easy. I understand selling used cars and try to sweet talk your way through a deal is not a walk in the park. I sympathies with you.
But try to have a little dignity.
No matter what we do in life, we do it with pride.
Sure, it is easy for me to say.
I am not in the used car business. Nor do I understand the pressure you face.
But I would stick to telling the truth, treat my customers with respect and not sell-off myself for a few hundred dollars of commission.
This maybe hard for you to do.
After all, it is in your DNA.
People...
Buyer Beware at BMW Scottsdale
