| - Wow, I have never been served so much carbon in my life! It is hard enough trying to get my kids to eat "traditional" pizza due to issues related to greasy cheese, runny sauce, etc. Mind you, I have spent some time in Italy (Florence, Milan) and am ready for a more traditional pie. However, the pizza we were served was inedible. The top was charred as if recently rescued from a burning building. The cooks must not clean their oven after each order, because the bottom of my pie was also burned with little bits of burned who-knows-what embedded into the crust. Let's talk sauce for a minute. A good pizza sauce will thicken while cooking (especially when burned to a blackened Frisbee). Amazingly, the sauce was so watery that it still ran in rivulets over each slice, thereby making each bite a soggy, carbony, yuck fest.
